At The Gingerbread House, we believe gingerbread should be about more than something delicious to eat. It’s about making people smile, bringing a little fun into everyday life and celebrating something that’s been part of Market Drayton’s history for generations.
We’re always dreaming up new ideas, experimenting with designs and finding different ways to bring our favourite gingerbread characters into people’s homes.
From little decorations and practical household accessories to colourful seasonal displays, we love creating things that are a little different, a little quirky and, most importantly, make people smile.
Our latest creation is a perfect example!
Meet our new Gingerbread Vase
We’ve been busy designing and making our very own Gingerbread Vase, and we’re rather pleased with how it’s turned out!
This isn’t a vase we’ve bought in or a design you’ll find in other shops. It’s our own exclusive creation, designed and 3D-printed by us here in Market Drayton.
Decorated with raised gingerbread men and little gingerbread houses, the vase brings together our love of gingerbread with our passion for creating something different for the home.
We’ve taken things a little further by turning it into a beautiful seasonal floral arrangement, complete with three soap flowers and our very own Gingerbread Man Plant Stake.
We’ve already created two versions.
Our autumn arrangement is bursting with warm oranges, yellows and reds, while our Christmas version features festive red flowers, greenery and seasonal decorations.
The vases can also be made in a variety of colours, so there’s plenty of opportunity to create something to suit your home, a favourite season or a special gift.
At £25 for the complete arrangement, we think it’s a lovely way to bring a little gingerbread happiness into your home.

It’s not just about the gingerbread men!
One of the things we enjoy most is finding new ways to use our designs.
Gingerbread doesn’t have to be reserved for Christmas, and it certainly doesn’t have to stay in the kitchen!
We’ve been creating gingerbread-inspired plant decorations, storage containers, soap dishes, cake stands, tealight holders, moving gingerbread characters and plenty of other little surprises.
Some are practical, some are decorative, and some are simply there to make you smile.
We love the idea that something as simple as a gingerbread man can brighten up a bathroom, bring character to a kitchen, decorate a garden or become a cheerful addition to a living room.
Our 3D printer is often busy bringing another idea to life, and we’re always thinking about what we could make next.

There’s something rather special about creating your own products.
We don’t just want to sell things that look like gingerbread. We want to develop our own designs, experiment with different colours and create products that people won’t find everywhere else.
That’s why we’re particularly proud of our original creations.
From the first idea and design through to printing, finishing and putting everything together, there’s a lot of thought and care that goes into what we make.
Not everything works perfectly the first time, of course! There can be plenty of experimenting, adjusting and starting again before we’re happy with the finished result.
That’s all part of the fun of creating something new.
Celebrating the home of gingerbread
Market Drayton has a proud gingerbread-making heritage stretching back more than 200 years.
It’s a wonderful part of our town’s history, and we love finding new ways to celebrate it.
The Gingerbread House is our way of helping to keep that story alive, introducing people to Market Drayton’s gingerbread connections and sharing a little of the town’s character beyond Shropshire.
We want people to discover the history, enjoy the famous local gingerbread and perhaps be inspired to visit Market Drayton for themselves.
Every gingerbread-inspired creation is another little opportunity to start that conversation.

We all spend a lot of time in our homes, so why shouldn’t they be filled with things that make us happy?
A cheerful decoration on a shelf, a colourful vase on the table or a little gingerbread character peeping out from a plant can make an ordinary corner feel that bit more special.
We don’t believe everything has to be serious or traditional.
Sometimes it’s the slightly quirky, unexpected things that bring the biggest smiles.
That’s what we want The Gingerbread House to be about – creativity, colour, a sense of fun and a little bit of gingerbread happiness.
