What a day!
We had a fantastic time bringing The Gingerbread House to the Ginger & Spice Festival in Market Drayton, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to see us, stopped for a chat, bought something or simply had a look around our rather colourful collection of gingerbread creations.
It was particularly lovely seeing people discover just how much our range has grown. What started with a love of Market Drayton’s gingerbread heritage has somehow turned into gingerbread men, houses, trains, trees, soaps, decorations, gifts, homeware and quite a few things we probably hadn’t imagined when we started!
And now we have some more news.
Find The Gingerbread House every Friday until Christmas
From now until Christmas, you’ll be able to find The Gingerbread House at the Friday Indoor Market in Market Drayton every Friday from 9am until 3pm.
It means you don’t have to wait for our next festival or special event to see the range in person.
We’ll be bringing a changing selection of our gingerbread-inspired products each week, including our 3D printed creations, decorations, gifts, soaps, keyrings, coasters, seasonal pieces and some of our larger designs.
As we get closer to Christmas, there’ll naturally be plenty of festive gingerbread too.
Handmade in Market Drayton
One of the things that makes The Gingerbread House a little different is its connection with the town itself.
Market Drayton has been famous for gingerbread for generations, and we want to take that heritage and have some fun with it. Our products are designed to give people something different for their homes, something to give as a gift, or simply a little reminder of the town famous for gingerbread.
Many of our creations take hours to make, with some of the larger pieces taking considerably longer, and we love being able to show people the finished products in person.
You might also spot something new from one Friday to the next. We’re constantly experimenting with new ideas and seasonal designs.
Christmas shopping with a little more gingerbread
The Friday Indoor Market also gives us the perfect opportunity to be part of Christmas in Market Drayton.
Rather than buying everything online or travelling elsewhere, you can come into town, browse the market and support independent traders while finding gifts that are a little different from those on the high street.
And, of course, you can come and say hello to us.
